Q&A with Sarah McGuire, Cannon Valley Special Education Cooperative
Sarah, your partnership with Creatively Focused has made a huge impact. Can you tell us more about that?
Sarah McGuire: “Our partnership with Creatively Focused has been a game-changer. The level of support we’ve received through axis3 has not only streamlined our processes but also freed up my time and contributed to a healthier work-life balance. The clarity and structure they bring to our work has helped us create a more sustainable environment for our educators’ workflow and development.”
Tell us about Cannon Valley Special Education Cooperative and what makes it different from other programs?
Sarah McGuire: “Cannon Valley Special Education Cooperative (CVSEC) was formed through collaboration with our member districts to offer individualized learning experiences for students from kindergarten through age 22 who need more structure, support, and modifications than the traditional academic setting can provide. We wholeheartedly believe all students can succeed when given the right tools to unlock their potential. Our specialized programs are designed to provide that supportive environment.”

You’ve been partnering with Creatively Focused for three years now. How has Creatively Focused and axis3 supported you and your staff?
Sarah McGuire: “Creatively Focused and their platform, axis3, have truly transformed our operations. Their structured system simplifies the daily challenges our staff face, making it easier to manage workflows and stay organized. The professional development and coaching we receive are invaluable, equipping our team with new skills and confidence to tackle the complexities of special education with a positive mindset.”
What drew you to special education?
Sarah McGuire: “Special education allows us to make an impact every day. I was drawn to this field because it lets me work with students who need tailored support and see the direct outcomes of our efforts in their growth and success. Developing personalized learning plans, supporting families, and working closely with teachers all contribute to creating an inclusive environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive. For me, special education is about ensuring that every student has access to the resources they need to reach their full potential.”
