Learning the Individualized Education Program (IEP)
In this course, paraprofessionals will learn about areas required by MN Rules (Minn. R. § 120B.363, sub 3) including roles and responsibilities, confidentiality, vulnerability, mandated reporting, and addressing student needs. Paraprofessionals will also learn about key special education terminology and learn specific information about the different disability categories.
Educators will be introduced to the basics of an Individualized Education Program (IEP). The course will explore the purpose and general concepts of key sections in the IEP and strategies for implementation.
